Job Description

LB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Chief Engineer in the Sandy Springs, GA area.  Position is contingent upon contract award.

Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of mechanical equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Assists in the planning and execution of facility related projects, including aspects such as determining requirements, estimating, budgeting, project preparation for approvals, building safety reviews, contractor coordination, coordination with departments and events throughout the complex. Supervises the facilities staff and other contractors to resolve issues with mechanical, electrical and plumbing and building infrastructure. Involved in solving day-to-day mechanical issues within a Class A building to include a Performance Arts Center, multi-use theater and Municipal buildings as related, to chiller plant systems, HVAC systems building piping systems, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety systems, pumps, fountains, fans and related industrial systems and equipment. Coordinates with customers throughout the facility, leveraging exceptional communication skills to identify issues, execute resolute, and follow up to confirm customer satisfaction. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.


Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience (within the last 7 years) as a Chief Engineer, Maintenance Manager, Facility Manager or related occupation. Requires a high school diploma and 10-15 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
