Job Description

LB&B Associates Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician III for its contract to provide Maritime COMS support for the P-3 and P-8 at NAS Jacksonville, FL.

Minimum experience shall be exclusive of formalized training and include six (6) years simulator maintenance of which two (2) years demonstrate complex maintenance skills to include the ability to study and translate schematic drawings, troubleshooting basic electronic circuits, component level repair, complex visual systems, and computer and network systems.  A Technician III shall be a graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or completed factory/formal training on the devices comparable to the P-8A and/or P-3C flight training systems. A Technician III must also possess working knowledge administering and managing computer operating systems, microcomputer hardware and software in the Windows, Linux, Sun, Solaris, IRIX and Red Hat environments, including installation of operating systems, software patches including implementation of software backups, software security maintenance and antivirus IA requirements, and software upgrades as required.  Technician must have demonstrated knowledge and experience using and installing networking equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls and must have a working knowledge and familiarity with applicable IA instructions and practices.  Current certification in Security PLUS (Security+) or System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) is required.  Finally, technician must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
